A brand-new hopper-bottom trailer leasing company needed a web presence from day one. We built the site and the local SEO to get them found by owner-operators across the tri-state area.

Stateline Leasing launched in 2023 in Harmon, Illinois, built on founder Thomas Wilson's 50-plus years in the grain trade. He spent his career on the trading side of the business before retiring in 2022 and starting Stateline the following year — leasing Tempte hopper-bottom trailers, outfitted with air-ride suspension and automatic roll tarps, to owner-operators hauling grain, DDG, bean meal, soybeans, and fertilizer.
The company is licensed and bonded (USDOT-4381277, MC-1717514) and focused on local, short-haul work — routes within roughly a 100-mile radius across Illinois, Wisconsin, and Iowa, rather than long-haul freight. That's a deliberate niche: owner-operators who want steady, close-to-home agricultural work, leased from someone who has spent decades on the grain side of the business rather than a generic trailer-leasing outfit.
As a brand-new company, Stateline had no website and no presence in local search — meaning an owner-operator searching for hopper-bottom trailer leasing anywhere in the tri-state area had no way to find them, regardless of how strong the underlying offer was. Getting found online for the first time was the whole project.
We built a site structured around exactly what an owner-operator needs to decide quickly: the equipment on offer, the service area, and why Thomas — not a faceless leasing company — is who to call. That got paired with a fully filled-out Google Business Profile and local SEO aimed squarely at the short-haul routes Stateline actually runs, rather than broad, unfocused trucking-industry keywords that would bring in the wrong kind of traffic.
What we did
- New website designed and built from scratch, structured around the equipment, service area and owner-operator fit
- Google Business Profile claimed, verified and fully filled out
- Local SEO targeting the short-haul Illinois, Wisconsin and Iowa service area Stateline actually serves
- On-page content built around the fleet (Tempte hopper-bottoms, air-ride suspension, automatic roll tarps) and freight types (grain, DDG, bean meal, soybeans, fertilizer)
- Tracking set up so leads and calls are measurable
